Dennis’ "Why"
I realized after some experience in the field how significant my role was in helping people protect themselves from hazards they may or may not recognize.  Additionally, I realized the importance in building personal relationships with people on the front line, my peers and authorities over the workplaces that I visited.  As my career unfolded, I became acutely aware that the protection of people was only possible by those who deeply believed that safety was personal and were individually committed to making jobs safe.

Favorite project
I love leading projects where students gain experience in completing exposure assessments for noise, welding fumes, chemical vapors and other concerns. It’s essential for our students to understand the importance of good relationships with colleagues, especially as they embark on future health and safety career.
